Marguerite Madeline Davidson, age 96, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on January 30, 1917 in Riverside, CA to John & Anna Matus. She grew up part of a large and loving family in the California Mission town of San Juan Bautista. On June 2, 1942 she married James Grant Davidson and had a long & happy marriage. Marguerite loved to entertain and cherished time spent with her family and many friends. She was an excellent cook who took joy in preparing meals from her orchard and garden. She became active in the Corralitos Women’s Club and also enjoyed the game of bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband James on November 25, 1993 & shortly thereafter moved to San Antonio where she lived at the Inn at Los Patios, where she was very involved in operating their country store and served on the Board of Residents. As an accomplished artist and after retirement (as a paralegal) she was able to pursue her love of painting. She sold many of her pieces at showings throughout the Monterrey Bay area.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Susie Justl & husband Dick; 2 grandchildren, Clint & Shelby Justl.
