Marcos Ismael Holguin, a musician and resident of San Antonio, TX, passed away on March 24, 2015 at the age of 35. Marcos is survived by his parents; his brothers and sisters, Adrian and wife Stacy, Monica, Veronica and husband Richard Santiago, Daniel and wife Stephanie; his nieces and nephews, Olivia, Jacinta, Sadie, Samuel and Noah Marcos; and his ex-wife Aubrey Arredondo. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Abel and Elvira Silva and his paternal grandparents, Guillermo and Antonina Holguin. Marcos was born in El Paso, TX on October 14, 1979 to Ismael and Mary Helen Holguin. He graduated from John Marshall High in 1998, studied music and sound engineering, and was a team member for Chili’s Bar and Grill. Marc, as his family and friends called him, started playing music at an early age. He and his brother Daniel started the group Three Legged Horse and made music together for over 20 years. They played all over Texas and the southwest. Marc, Daniel, and his sisters Monica and Veronica founded the St. Brigid’s Youth choir. For thirteen years he was a member and later led the choir. Marc was a sound and pyrotechnics engineer for several bands and worked for Sound City Productions for several years. Marc loved computers and was a web developer as a hobby. He loved cooking and creating meals for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A Viewing is scheduled for Sunday March 29th at 6PM, followed by a Rosary at 7PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday March 30 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener St, San Antonio, TX 78240.
