Magdalena Lopez Gomez, age 93, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Kerrville, Texas, to parents Maximino and Arcadia Lopez, on June 14, 1918. Magdalena will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was a hard-working homemaker for most of her life and loved her Social Club gatherings at the Community Center of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Frank Gomez, Sr., her children, Frank Gomez, Jr. and Evangelina Gomez Varela, her grandsons, Jimmy Gomez and Robert Hernandez, her sisters, Ramona Calderon, Maria Ayala, Juanita Ayala, Josie Ayala, Faustina Lopez, Rita Lopez and Cruz Flores, and her brother, Jesus Lopez. She is survived by her children, Albert Gomez and Susie Hernandez, as well as numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, San Antonio, Texas. A procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S.
