Lydia was a beautiful lady. She was active in the ACTS community, participating in several Women’s ACTS retreat teams. She was in the Altar Society and the Guadalupanos Society at Prince of Peace. She assisted with the Pilgrim Center of Hope Annual Women’s Conferences. After she retired from USAA, she worked at the church office with Msgr. Patrick Cronin at Prince of Peace. She received the Lumen Gentium Award in 2014 for her participation at Prince of Peace in Sharing Christ’s light. Lydia and Frank loved to go to dances, the VFW and go for long drives. They hosted many gatherings at their home with family and friends for holidays and to watch Cowboy games and Spurs games. Lydia and Frank became members of San Juan de Los Lagos Catholic Church. They enjoyed the small close knit community that reminded them of when they were growing up. Lydia was a loving and caring wife to Frank. She loved her step children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always kept them in her prayers. Her kindness towards others was rewarded with a large extended family of friends from both her church communities.
We loved her and she will be missed dearly.
