Lucy Pérez Montemayor

Mrs. Lucy Pérez Montemayor passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Lucy was born in Conshohocken, PA to Modesto and María de la Luz Pérez. She was married to Raúl Caballero Montemayor for 40 loving years. Lucy had a passion for her family and loved to show her creativity through her cooking, which often included some very large meals, baking delicious desserts, crocheting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raúl Caballero Montemayor; parents, Modesto and María de la Luz Pérez; sister, Dora P. De Luna (Enrique); brother, Otto Vicente Pérez; baby sister, Esther Pérez.

She is survived by sons René Sr. (Evangelina), Xavier (Ida Grace) and Mario; grandchildren René Jr, Johnathan, Dereck Morgan, Xavier II and Victoria Lanae; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. Lifelong best friends Mrs. Antonia García, Mrs. Eloisa Guzmán and Mrs. Carolina Ortiz. Godson Mr. Gustavo Guzmán (Bridget), Goddaughter Ms. Anna Lehew.

A visitation for Lucy will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary will occur Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. Church visitation will begin at 9:00AM Friday, February 18, 2022 with a mass of resurrection from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at San Fernando Cathedral, 115 Main Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205. An interment will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions and on behalf of The Montemayor Family, facial coverings are to be worn at all times while in the funeral home building and church.
