Lola Jean Leal was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 22, 1953 and went home to our Lord on Friday, August 7, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Minnie (Pumarejo) Clark, sister Margaret Whitaker, and brother Edward Clark, Jr. She is Survived by her husband of 24 years, Fernando Leal, sons Andrew Buck, Fernando Leal Jr., Jon Manzke, Joshua Leal, daughter, Brittney Killion, daughter in law Sara Leal, son in law Chris Killion, sister Diane Featherstone, brother Richard Clark, granddaughters Emilee Smith, Audrey Leal, Angelyn Guardiola, Nicole Delage, and grandsons Drake Guardiola, Joshua Leal Jr. and Jet Killion. She is also survived by her Aunt Mary Ann Ross, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lola Jean Leal was many things to many people. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enriched the lives of many through her caring spirit and altruistic attitude. She saw the value in everything and everyone. She took pride in her garden and loved quilting, crocheting, knitting, painting, and crafting. She was an avid bowler, winning many awards and tournaments as well as dedicating herself to the development of youth bowlers. Prior to being a stay at home mom, she enjoyed a successful career as an insurance adjuster.
She will be forever loved and greatly missed, but we are joyful in the fact that she is at home with our Lord.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
