Leslie Neal Fitzsimon passed away at the age of 57 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on February 3, 1962 to Laurence and Dorothy Fitzsimon in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his father Laurence H. Fitzsimon, and brother: Steve Fitzsimon. He is survived by his mother: Dorothy Fitzsimon; siblings: Danny Fitzsimon , Carol Spradling, Janet Barr (Bruce), Martha Fitzsimon ( Bernie Tromley), Ruth Fitzsimon, Nancy Lockhart; Nieces: Lisa Spradling Ahrens (Taylor) of Chesapeake, VA, Megan Lockhart-Bohne (Corbin) of San Antonio, TX, Stephanie Fitzsimon of Monticello, KY; Nephews: Liam Lockhart of Nellis Air Force Base, NV , Willem Lockhart of AZ and other family members and friends.
Les graduated High School from Antonian High in San Antonio, which was then all-male school. He worked at Sun Harvest in the produce section, then Michaels Craft Store in San Antonio and Killeen stores. His last career was set up and tear down for conventions through many vendors including Czarnowski Event and marketing company. He was considered a hard work and “One of the honest ones”. His work required huge booths to be constructed and taken apart for various events. He was a big animal lover and recently shared his apartment with a sweet cat named Rascal. One of Rascal’s habits was to play with his toilet paper rolls, which usually ended in their destruction. Rascal is now staying with family where she does not have access to toilet paper. Leslie was a loving son, brother and friend. He was a happy go lucky person who was well liked by everyone. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 6pm-9pm with a rosary beginning at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held the next day on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11am at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst Rd., San Antonio, TX 78213 with interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
