Laura “June” Powers, age 83, went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2014. She was born on May 7, 1931 in Proctor, TX to Dave & Ammie Pinson. She retired after 38 years with CPS (City Public Service). She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
June is survived by her son, James David Powers; 4 grandchildren, Josh Powers, Justin McClure, Jennifer McClure and Angela Krause; 11 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
