Kenneth Sherman

Kenneth Sherman, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on August 12, 2011 at the age of 79. He was born in New York, New York on November 29, 1931 to Barney and Martha Sherman. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Elizabeth (Bettie), his loving wife of 59 years, his children, and grandchildren, Sandy Radzik and Alen Radzik and their sons Yuri and Brett from Sacramento, CA, Terry and Vedia Sherman and their children Jared and Lindsey from Buda, TX, and Gerry Sherman and his son Tres from Sacramento, CA. Ken is also survived by his sister, Faye Erskine of Madison, CT., in-laws, Chill and Dominick Van Ness of San Antonio, TX, Tika and Greg Drough of Savannah, GA, Barbara and Don Lynde of Marston Mills, MA., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken graduated from Daniel Hand High School in Madison, CT. in 1950. After serving in the United States Air Force, Ken earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin in 1961, and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Texas in San Antonio in 1988. Ken retired from USAA in 1988. He enjoyed his retirement immensely; he played golf, traveled, and visited with family. A private interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
