Karen Ann Hanson

Karen Ann Thompson Hanson, age 63, passed away February 27, 2023 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on December 14, 1959 to John E. & Annell Thompson. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. Karen was beach loving, sun-godess who shined brightly on everyone she met. Karen attended Highlands High School and graduated from MacArthur High School in 1978, she went on to get her BBA from Wayland Baptist University in 1999. Karen was in management with AT&T for over 20 years until she retired in 2015. She was a fashionista whose contagious personality and smile will be greatly missed by everyone. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Annell Thompson; sister, Debbie S. Sauer; brother, Scott C. Thompson; and her nieces, Shellane Tilton, Ashly Linder, Dr. Brandi Karnes, Kylee Thompson, nephew Colton Thompson, aunt, Kathie Chase and Kathy Sowell. Also her faithful cats: Meeko and LucyLou.

The Memorial Service will be at 12 noon, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The urn burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park for family. There will be a reception for everyone at Sunset Reception Hall at 1:30pm.
