Juan G. Salazar Jr.

Juan G. Salazar Jr. went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2011 at the age of 62. He is survived by his wife Elena Salazar; children, Adam Salazar (Mary) and Eva Salazar; brother and sister-in-law, Ricardo and Susan Salazar; grandchildren, Miranda Salazar, Adam Salazar Jr. and Joshua Garza; numerous nieces and nephews. He completed 2 years in the U.S. Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam where he received a service medal with 1 Bronze Star, National Defense medal, and a Vietnam Campaign medal. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Christus Hospice and University Hospital for the special care they provided. Juan was a long time employee of Alamo Iron Works and had numerous friends that he enjoyed working with. He was a quiet, happy man who loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. A 9:00 a.m. Rosary will be recited followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass Friday, September 02, 2011 at St. Bonaventure’s Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
