Jose A. Rivera-Trinidad, age 69, passed away December 15, 2019 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 10, 1950 to Jose & Leoncia Rivera. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. He loved and cherished his wife and daughters. There was nothing he would not do for his family. He had many friends and never met a stranger he didn’t like. He loved music, dancing, singing and a good party. He was a truck driver for more than 30 years and enjoyed his travels. He loved his childhood home of Puerto Rico and was a proud native.
Mr. Rivera was preceded in death by his father Jose Rivera-Rosado and his mother Leoncia Trinidad-Rivera. He is survived by his wife, Lucila Rivera; 4 daughters, Lizette D. Rivera, Michelle E. Rivera, Jessica M. Rivera and Victoria L. Rivera. His 2 granddaughters, Charlotte R. Lopez Rivera and Addison M. Lopez Rivera. His sisters Carmen Aviles, her husband Marcial and Diana Rivera. He is also survived by numerous brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
The visitation will be 6 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2019 with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Monday, December 30, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Capel. Interment will follow at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
