Mr. Jose Lopez went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2021 at 94 years old. He was born on June 25, 1927 in Rockdale, Texas to Jose Lopez and Juana Valero. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his son, Pedrito.
He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years Mrs. Enriqueta Lopez along with his children Jose M. (Ardelle), Maria Enriqueta Lara (Gumero), Juan A. (Mary Esther), Florentina Sanchez (John), Edna Garcia (Arthur), and Noel (Yvonne). He is also survived by his brother Manuel Lujan. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren.
Mr. Lopez opened Townsend Shoe Repair in 1955 and worked until 1992.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, on Monday, August 9th, 2021 from 6:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. Followed by Rosary from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on August 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Berchmans Church, 1147 Cupples Rd., with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
