Jorge Tapia, beloved husband, father, son, Grandpa “PaPa” and brother went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2021 . He left behind his wife of 10 years, 6 children, his beloved mother, 5 living siblings, 10 grandchildren with one on the way, and numerous brothers and sisters in Christ. Jorge was born April 12, 1967 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. A jack of all traits: welder, animal keeper, and cultivation expert , Jorge put his heart and soul into his job at Paradise Canyon and provided countless hours to what it is today. He truly lived by the quote “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. Jorge dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He was a familiar face to the homeless community as he continued to give back to Haven for Hope. Countless times, we watched as he would physically walk across a highway to speak to someone in need and preach the word of God. Jorge served as Vice President for Fisher of Men and proudly wore the vest and road along with his brothers in Christ. As we take this time to remember this great man of God , I ask you to rejoice because that is what Jorge would want. Take this moment to reflect on your life and learn from the life of Jorge Tapia. Love what you do in life, live for your family, laugh like Jorge did, and most of all establish a relationship with God.
