John R. Garza

John R. Garza was born November 28, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Lanier High School and shortly after started working at Kelly Air Force Base, where he worked for 37 years in several departments. John was sent TDY to many different cities and countries working for the U.S. Government.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Elizondo Garza and Julia Ruiz Garza.

He is survived by his sister, Mercy Lara; sons, Fernando (Darlene) Garza, Eddie (Corrine) Garza, Johnny V. Garza, Richard V. Garza; daughters, Angie (Ramiro) Martinez, Christine (Frank) Voiers, Andrea Michelle (Joe) Valenzuela. Grandchildren, Fernando Garza Jr., Felina Harlon, Rachel Garza, Eddie Garza Jr.,Vanessa Cintron, Josh Aguilar, Johnny Garza III, Carlos Escobedo Jr., Mark Escobedo, Valeria Garza,Richard Garza Jr., Julian Vogt, Joshua Garza, Dora Garza, Sarah Almeida, Brittany Wilson, Isaiah Lopez, Trinity Valenzuela and Carlos Valenzuela; great and great great grandchildren as well as numerous family and friends. John will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A chapel service will occur Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. An interment will occur Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.
