Our beloved, wonderful, spectacular, and feisty Jo-Ann Treviño Villaseñor lost her battle with liver disease on June 3, 2021. Jo-Ann fought with such courage and grace. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and who were privileged to witness her fight this final fight. To say she will be missed is a huge understatement, our hearts will forever be missing a piece. Jo-Ann was born in San Antonio Texas on February 16, 1958 to Jose Treviño Jr. & Cecilia Ortiz Treviño. Jo-Ann was blessed to be born into a close catholic family. She attended St. John Berchmans and Blessed Sacrament Academy. Jo-Ann raised 3 children and once her youngest was settled in school she pursued a career in the medical field; where she worked as a Phlebotomist for the last 30+ years. It was at this beginning of her career that she met her husband and love of her life, Alberto Mario Villaseñor. Together they built a happy, full life and were active members of the community. The true love and devotion they had for each other was always apparent. But to witness the selfless care Mario provided her over her last month was simply beautiful. Along side her husband, Jo-Ann spent years volunteering for the San Antonio Charro Association, a local non profit. When she wasn’t busy fishing with Mario, Jo-Ann was also active in the Fiesta community and she could be seen all over the city at various Fiesta events collecting, trading, and selling medals to raise money for charities. Jo-Ann was a wonderful mother, but she really shined once her grandsons were born. She was the BEST grandma! Jo-Ann is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members as well. Because of her strong faith Jo-Ann looked forward to being reunited with them in heaven. Jo-Ann is survived by her husband and partner of 27 years Alberto Mario Villaseñor, her parents Jose & Cecilia Treviño, sister Jacqueline Salinas (Luis), brothers Joe Treviño (Nancy), and James Treviño (Pascual), daughters Carolyn Martinez, and Roslyn Martinez Kosacz (Chad), son Jacob Gonzalez, Grandsons Noah and Seth, and many nephews, and nieces.
