Jesse Joe Owens

Jesse Joe Owens USAF Ret. entered into rest on March 23, 2016 at the age of 86 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on December 30, 1929 to Jesse and Lilly Owens in Van Alstyne, Texas. Jesse is preceded by his parents and loving wife of 55 years Joan M. Owens. He is survived by sons James and wife Denise Owens, Mitchel and wife Kelly Owens, grandchildren Eric Owens, Randee Ormond, Jason Owens, Neal Owens, Teresa Owens, 5 great grandchildren, brothers Leo Owens and Veaon Owens, and sister-in-law Johnie Fae Owens. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:30 AM with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in Jesse's name.
