Jesse S. Martinez

Jesse was married to Yvonne O. Martinez for forty-five loving years. Jesse was self employed in Jesse and Son Floor Covering for thirty-five years.

Jesse had a passion for listening to music, barbecuing, camping, fellowshipping, snacking, eating, dancing, playing pool, being around his grand-kids, watching t.v., attending his grand kids sporting events, throwing away his wife's things such as crafts, dishes, etc. behind her back, being the center of attention, swimming, going to the movies even if he went alone. With Chuy there was never a dull moment. Oh and he loved to help people, putting, and repairing any/everything with double face tape. If you wanted to know what was going on, Chuy had all the juicy stories. Not to mention that he'd add a little to the story as well. He was one of a kind all around fun person to be with.

Jesse was preceded in death by his daughter Darlene Garcia; siblings Juanita Martinez and Rosemarie Velasquez; parents Margarito Martinez and Graciella Garcia; and father-in-law Arturo P. Ortiz.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 45years Yvonne Martinez; two sons Jesse Arturo Ortiz (Diane), and Eric Gilbert Martinez Sr. (Kimberly); mother-in-law Carmina Cadenas; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, Seven brothers, three sisters, four sister -in-laws and their spouses. One brother-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters in Christ. And plenty of friends.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A prayer service will occur at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM Trevino Funeral Home. An interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, U.S. 281 and FM 536, Leming, TX 78064.
