Jennifer was born on March 8th, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas. She was a loving and precocious child who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and learning about electrical gadgets.
Jennifer graduated with her degree in Theology from International Bible College. Or Bridal college, as she would jokingly say. And as a matter of fact, it was here that she met the love of her life. She married her college sweetheart Jason Darr, on December 17th, 1994.
Jennifer preached at various churches, youth groups and worked as an elementary teacher at a Christian school for several years until they had their son. Jonah David Darr was born on November the 9th, 1998. Life took a turn when Jonah was born. He was diagnosed after birth with a rare muscular disease, myotubular myopathy, and was expected to die within a year. Jennifer and Jason took him home, loved on him and spoke life over him. They trusted Jesus with their beloved son’s care. Today, Jonah is 20 years old. This Momma was fierce in her love for her son. She lovingly sacrificed her needs to care for Jonah who has many physical limitations. Jennifer never complained. It was evident to all who saw Jen care for Jonah that God had given her the love, patience, strength and wisdom to care for him. And great is Jonah’s love for his Mommy.
Jennifer, in her spare time, loved to spend time with her family, with God praying, reading and studying God’s word. She could open up a library with all her books. And don’t be surprised if every single one of them had highlighted sections with her handwritten notes all over the pages. Jen radiated God’s love to everyone who met her. She knew this world was not her home and that by knowing and loving Jesus she would one day find herself with her Heavenly Father, forever. Jesus. He is who mattered most to Jen. Jesus is who her life was about. Jesus is who she spent most of her time learning about and she would share His love with others so that they too could spend eternity with Him. Jennifer was a true gift on this earth. And blessed are those that knew her.
Jennifer is survived by her parents, Gilbert and Janie Terrazas, her husband of 24 years Jason Darr, her son Jonah Darr, her sister Veronica Leann (John) Minners, her nephew John Gilbert Minners and her niece Bailey Anne Minners among many other loving family members.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February the 24th from 5-7 pm.
Services will be on Monday, February the 25th at 10:00 am. Concluding the services, we will follow in procession to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Due to our special financial situation, there will not be a reception following the services. We appreciate everyone's understanding and look forward to visiting with our family and friends at the visitation and services during this difficult time.
Though we grieve immensely for Jennifer on this earth, Jen would tell us now to “Love Jesus. Love others. And DO RIGHT!” We will honor her life by carrying her torch the best we can. She was a good and faithful servant of God and may we all strive to love God as passionately as she did. Until we see you again…may God give us the grace for each day to live our lives to honor Him and to make you proud. Love you so much Jen.
Psalm 73:24-26 (KJV)
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking anyone who would like to donate towards the expense of Jennifer’s medical bills please let the family know. We would like to help ease the financial burden on her loving husband and son during this very difficult time. Thank you.
