I was so sad to hear of Jeff's passing. I worked closely with him years ago as part of his team when dept was still so small. I hadn't caught up with him again but remember him as a great person who loved his music, dancing, had so much respect for his Mom & absolutely ADORED his son. I worked with him the year his son was born & never forgot how much his face lit up when talking about him & him laughing telling us funny stories about him! I'm sure his son J.J missing him so much, so just wanted to share that with him how much he lit up his Dad's whole world. May Jeff rest in peace

His sense of humor was one of a kind which made for so many fun memories and times together! Jeff had some of the best dance moves, that boy could dance! He always encouraged Joe & I to get out on the dance floor even though we were so not coordinated! And he had the greatest patience trying his best to teach us to dance which again led to some hilarious, memorable night outs! We will continue to get out on that dance floor. My Tio….I will truly miss you. Even though I was far from home, we were always able to reconnect. You enjoyed hearing all my news of Christ moving in my family and around the world. I would share of people accepting Christ, their lives being changed and transformed, and you’d be genuinely interested. 
I will forever cherish my memories with you.
   Often when loved ones are taken from us, it seems much too soon. It is truly as the Bible says, our lives are but a vapor. What is significant though, is whether we make a decision to accept Christ as Lord and Savior.  And you did! You accepted Christ’s free gift of salvation. So without a shadow of a doubt, I know I will see you again. So, I do not say goodbye forever, but goodbye for now. Until we meet again. I love you and miss you, Angel Denise

Jeff, you are a great tio, a great father to J.J., a great brother to your siblings, and a great son to grandma. You were taken from us way too early in life, but I know you will rest in peace and enjoy your time in heaven with Grandpa Fred, your dad. Our relationship was a weird one because you were only 6 years older than me and your title of “Tio” was a little weird for me. When I got older, I just called you Jeff because I felt like we were more like brothers or cousins. I didn’t get to see you much when I was young, but I will always remember talking sports, watching the Spurs with Duncan, Manu, and Parker win all those games and dominate, and watching all those Cowboys games and just chilling with you. You never talked bad about anyone, were always nice to me and Marisa, and you would’ve been there for us no matter what. I’ve been in the Air Force for 15+ years now and every year you would call me on my birthday. Unfortunately, on 7 March 2023, I’ll be waiting for a phone call from you that will never come. I love you, Nicole loves you, my kids love you, and we will miss you very much! Rest in peace, Jeff!

The Family of Jeff Medina, 
I became friends with Jeff through Joe Arguello. I met him at get togethers held at Joe’s home. Even though I’ve only known Jeff a few years we became really good friends. We talked about basketball and the good times of Lanier and St. Mary’s basketball. We shared and laughed about the stories. He’s gone way too soon. I’ll miss him so much, he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
