James Glenn Edwards, age 70, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2014. He was born on March 11, 1944 in Houston, TX to James E. & Monta Jo Edwards. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. James was an active member of the San Antonio community for 43 years as owner of B&J Lawn Care, an elder in the Presbyterian Church and member of the Judson School Board.
He was preceded in death by his brother David Lee Edwards of Jacksonville, Florida.
James is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Smith Edwards; children Ashley Johnson & husband Doug, Kendra Carter and husband Brooks, grandchildren Patrick & Grace Johnson, Bain & Blu Carter; sister Bettye E. Leslie, brother in-law Earnest McKee Smith, sister in-law Sandra S. Hammock.
The Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014 at John Calvin Presbyterian Church 8102 Midcrown, San Antonio, TX 78239.
