J.D. Dowling passed away on January 13, 2012 just after celebrating his 91st birthday. He was born in Dale County, Alabama on January 5, 1921. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Willow Mae Dowling; son, Don Dowling and wife Lily; grandson, Len Dowling and wife Cheryl; granddaughter, Allison Hudson and husband Jim; great-grandchildren Hannah and Edie Dowling and Preston and Gabriella Hudson. J.D. was devoted to his family and lived a very full and happy life. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 12:00PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Sunset Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.
