Helen R. Shedwin went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2017. She was born on June 22, 1941 in Groveton, Texas. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put others before herself. She was longtime member of the Wheatley Heights Baptist Church.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother Bertha Lee Pennington, her sister Bertha “Puddin” Hansford, and her grandson, Benjamin Charles Wolfgang Shedwin. She is survived by her children, Charles R. Shedwin and wife, Alexandra, Theodore Shedwin , and wife Amy; grandchildren, Charlene, Jacob, Courtney, Anntornette Ray, Theodore, Jr.; 3 great grandchildren; sister, May Wiley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9th from 2-5 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will on Monday, July 10th at 11 am at Wheatley Heights Baptist Church; 7539 Midcrown Dr; San Antonio, TX 78218 with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
