My sincere condolences to my dear friends Josie Aguilar Martinez & husband Nieves, Nando & Lolie Aguilar. 

I had the pleasure of meeting Lupe while visiting my dear friend Josie at her house.

Very, very nice, pleasant , friendly lady!

We talked about her singing career during her youth.

I encouraged her to sing once again. She was a bit shy & said " no, I'm to old"!  I remember telling her " nooo, ma'am you are not. You have a gift from GOD & that never goes away"!!

She just smiled!!

Then one day, I was surprised to see her walk in with Josie & Nieves into Flor the Chapias Mexican restaurant!!

On Tuesday's & Thursday's a group would play there. The leader of the group used to be her singing partner back in the day!!!

He urged her to sing a song with him & the group. Lupita was to shy & said "No".

Me, persistent as always kept urging her & telling "come on Lupe, you can do. It's a natural gift that does not go away"!

I failed couldn't convince her!!!

One day, we delivered her a couch, we had given her. Oh my was she ever happy!!

All she kept tells us "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you"!!

That is something I will never forget. In my heart I felt a joy that we were able to share something of ours, with this beautiful, sweet, kind lady.

Rest in Peace, Lupita. You are now resting in the arms Of our L ord & Savior, Jesus Christ, Son of OUR Living GOD.

As well as reunited with your family that went before you.

Do not  worry about Josie, Lupe. I WILL make sure she takes care of herself. Lupita, it was extremely difficult & painful for her, when your journey ended on this earth. 

Through prayers & love for Josie, my "adopted " sister, she is doing fine. It takes One step at a time & one day at a time.

You will NEVER be forgotten.

I will keep this memory always. Tia always asked me when I would have a baby and I'd tell her I'm trying but it's hard for me and she'd say the good Lord will bless you when the time is right. She was correct. Both my Tios meeting my daughter for the first time.  I had some of the best New Year celebrations at your house as a kid and playing with Romy who always treated me like her baby sister. Love you Romy and I'm sorry for your loss.

We will miss you dear Tia I will always have beautiful memories of you when I was growing up and thank you so much for taking such good care of my son when he was a baby you will always have a special place in our hearts

She is survived by her daughter, Romelia Lopez, grandsons, Adrian J. Sotello (Amy) and Nicholas A. Urrabazo; great grandson, Xayden Sotello as well as numerous family and friends. Guadalupe will be greatly missed by all who knew her.




She is preceded by her husband, Cesar S. Lopez; parents, Casimiro and Rafaela Aguilar; sister, Feliz Lopez; brothers, Magdaleno Q. Aguilar, Ernesto Aguilar, and Carlos Aguilar.
