Gilbert Morales Jr.

Gilbert Morales Jr. went to be with his Heavenly Father, On Monday May 26, 2014. He was born on April 15, 1933 in Lockhart, Texas. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gilbert was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored his family and friends. Gilbert honorably served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. As a hardworking, dedicated and successful warehouse manager he worked proudly for H.E.B. Grocery Co. for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert Morales & Manuela Ramirez and brother Lee Hernandez.

He is survived by his loving wife, Celia Uriegas Morales of 60 years of marriage and their four children Stella M. Vasquez, Nick Morales, Gilbert Morales III wife Laura Morales and Helen M. Salinas husband Charles R. Salinas. He has seven Grandchildren who he adored very much, Eric L. Guzman, Bianca J. Vasquez, Charles, Jenna & Nicole Salinas and Lauren and Megan Morales. The visitation will be 6 p.m., Sunday June 1, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. On, Monday June 2, 2014 the Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway Dr. San Antonio TX 78239. Interment will follow at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.
