Beloved Husband and father,T/SGT, Gerald Bernard Bowers, U.S. Air Force Retired, born on January 18, 1932 in Minnesota was called to be with The Lord on January 22, 2016 at the age of 84. He retired from the U.S. Air after 25 years of service to his country. He was an avid Spurs fan and football fan. He had a special skill for repairing all types of items. He is preceded in death by his son, Gerald B. Bowers and grandson, Edward Wolak III. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edna Bertha Bowers; children, Gregory John Bowers, Edward Wolak, Robert Wolak, Debbie Terrazas and Liz Taylor; grandchildren, Michael Burns, Jeannette Wolak, Gerald Wolak, John Taylor and Jesse Taylor; also, his beloved pet, Muffy. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Trevino Funeral home, 226 Cupples Rd. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full Military honors.
