Gerald D. Bales went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2010. He was born to Barnett & Bernadine Bales on September 25, 1957 in Wahiawa, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his father, LTC Barnett L. Bales on March 31, 1998. Gerald is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Eklund; son, Gerald D. Lewis Bales; and step-daughter, Cassandra Fogarty; four grandsons and one granddaughter; his beloved mother, Bernadine Bales; brothers, Danny L. Bales & wife, Robin, Barry L. Bales & wife, Susan; sister, Rita Ford; five nephews; one niece; and three great-nieces. Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 with Karen Tudor, officiating.
