Mr. Ramirez was born in San Antonio, TX., the son of the late Rev. Fortunato Ramirez and Alicia (Fierros) Ramirez. He taught and coached at Thomas Jefferson High School and Mark Twain Middle School, where he retired after 37 years. Mr. Ramirez was a loving father who always valued family above all else and prided himself in his grandchildren and the many students he taught and coached throughout his career.
He is survived by his: former spouse Natalie Ramirez, daughter Christine Morin, spouse Rudy; son George Ramirez Jr., spouse Genevieve, son Mark Ramirez; his grandchildren Justine, Rudy Jr., Joshua, Danielle, Ethanael, Isaiah, Haley, Julian, and Isabella; great-grandchildren Mila, Ezra, and Xavier; his sister Martha, brothers Henry, Richard, and Michael; numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a Memorial Service, starting at 2:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
A dinner will follow at 5:30 PM. at Braun Hall, 9721 Braun Rd, 78254.
