Fred C. Krause III

January 22, 1942-June 17, 2021

Fred C. Krause, III, our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather earned his wings and was called home to the Lord on June 17, 2021.

Fred was born at the NAS Corpus Christi, Texas on January 22, 1942 to Fred C., Jr. and Dorothy Krause both who preceded him in death. Fred was a service and parts manager at auto dealerships in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Victoria, and San Diego, California. He was a people person who never met a stranger. His favorite hobbies and activities included cars, Harleys, bowling, fishing, antiquing, and playing POGO and Angry Birds. Fred also was a Volunteer at the Bob Ross Senior Center as well as a Charter Member of the Leon Valley Lions Club and Coffee Club at HEB Marketplace.

Mr. Krause is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dixie, who was his love, his rock and his foundation, his children, Tammy Krause, Sheila Fleming, Darryl Krause, and Nicole Richards, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and his brother, Jerry Krause and sister, Billie Jo Nielson.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road with Rev. Dr. Austin Frederick, Jr. officiating. A reception will follow.
