Frank Dominguez Jr., age 82, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Frank was born on July 11, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Francisco Dominguez and Candelaria Cardenas. Frank was a very affectionate and dedicated father. He retired from working at VIA Metropolitan Transit after 35 years of service. During that time, he was chief of VIA Trans for nine years. Later on during his daily treatments, he held great affection to Fluffy, his beloved "co pilot".
He is preceded in death by his parents; Francisco Dominguez and Candelaria Cardenas, and one brother and one sister. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Maria G. Dominguez; his 3 sons and 3 step-daughters, his sister and brother, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss him greatly.
A visitation for Frank will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM with a rosary at 4:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Friday, February 9, 2024 at 9:30 for a graveside service at 10:00 AM at San Fernando II, 226 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78207.
