Frances Elaine Rogers, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Sunday, February 25th at the age of 84. A native of San Antonio, she graduated in 1951 from Alamo Heights High School, and then started her 58½ year illustrious employment at Walgreens. She started in the downtown store in 1951 which was the only one in town at the time. She married young, had a son then returned in 1953, where she found her way into the cosmetics section. She remained in cosmetics where she was always the top seller, working at the North Star Mall location for 27 years. Frances was preceded in death by her mother Gertrude Charpier White, her father Joe Weller White, her sister Janice (White) Ard, and her brother Steven White. She is survived by her son Glenn Smith, his wife Linda, granddaughter Shannon Schneider, her husband Reagan, and two great granddaughters Henley Hope and Everly Rose. She was loved and adored by many and radiated happiness always. Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home at noon, Friday, March 2nd. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) in her name.
