On March 6, 2023, our beloved father, Felix Ramirez Jr. passed at the age of 91, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
In 1948, at the age of 17 years old, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Where he did his basic training at Lackland AFB. After basic, he served his country in Japan for 3 ½ years. As a Buck Sergeant, he received the Korean Service Medal, Japan Occupational Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. His last tour was stateside at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, California. When he returned home, in San Antonio, Texas, he began working for Champion International Paper Company, retiring with 36 years of service, as the Plant Superintendent.
He married the love of his life, Josephine Arambula Ramirez (deceased 12/25/18). They went on to have five children: Richard Ramirez (Olivia), Patricia Martinez, Michael Ramirez (Maricela), Daniel Ramirez (Sara) and Irene Flores (Ramon), They had 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Ramirez Sr. and Concepcion Valle Ramirez, sister Velia Guerrero, Olivia Young (James Young).
Survived by siblings, Alicia Reyes (Luis), Irene Walsh (Sean), Connie Lepel (Bob) and Vincent Ramirez (Sue). Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Our family would like to thank family and friends that came to see our father in his last days with us.
