In 1989 our Mother suffered a tragic car accident that was sure to cost her life, but God our Father had different plans for her which was to fulfill her true purpose. As we all know, Jesus Christ had 30 years of preparation and three years of ministry before he fulfilled the prophecy of our Father. So at 33 years old Jesus Christ the Messiah our Savior was crucified and died on the cross of calvary for all of our sins. Our Mother once told us that on the night of that tragic accident she encountered God Almighty and said the Lord was gifting her a second chance on earth.
Over the course of the next 33 years our Mother devoted the rest of her beautiful life expressing her unconditional love, giving and nurturing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was no ocean she wouldn't cross, meal she wouldn't cook, or ride she wouldn’t give. She was the type of mother to give the shirt off her back and give the last dollar that she had to make sure none of her children lacked anything. Similar to Jesus Christ's journey ending at 33 years, our beautiful mother 33 years later was called home.
The greatest legacy is NOT what we leave FOR people, but what we leave in people. The greatest gift that dwelt in our mother was to love others unconditionally the same way Christ loves and that is what dwells in us today because of her. The hardest thing to accept is that our loving mother will no longer be here with us physically but we take absolute comfort that she is always here in spirit and has now claimed her seat in eternity while rejoicing with Our Father in the kingdom of heaven. Unfortunately, this was unexpected and our desire was to have her here with us forever but the Word has taught us that it’s God's plan not ours and God’s divine timing is perfect.
