Emma L. Presas born on December 22, 1924 in Piedras Negras, Mexico, was called to heaven on March 23, 2014 at the age of 89. She was a faithful servant of God and a charter member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Woman of the Year at Bethel, recipient of the Bethel Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002, Sunday school teacher and superintendent, a member of the United Methodist Women, in the 5th graduating class of Edgewood High school in 1942, and a Lifetime Member of the Parents and Teachers Association. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fidencio Samuel Presas, sisters Mary L. Presas, Daisy L. Thornton, and Alicia Martinez, and brothers Dewey Luderus and Oswald Luderus. She is survived by her sons Roger S. Presas (Sally) and Reuben H. Presas (Yvette); grandchildren Kathryn, Joanne, Natalie, Daniel, Joseph, and Joshua, and great grandchildren Alessandro and Adreano; sister Genevieve Cox and brother George Luderus. Visitation will be from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m., on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. A funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 1st at 10:30a.m. for an 11:00a.m. Service at Bethel United Methodist Church, 227 S. Acme, San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam National Cemetery.
