She was born on June 20, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Cora (Leos) Vogt and Herman Vogt. She was the second oldest of eight children. On February 14, 1953, she married Amando Tellez Pena, Jr.
She is survived by her siblings Stella Arvizu (Tony), Leroy Vogt (Janie), Ronnie Vogt (Gloria), Tony Vogt (Margie), and Susie Garcia (George). She is also survived by her daughters Debbie Galias (Art) and Darlene Garza (Fernando).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Gilbert Vogt and Arthur Vogt and her son, Darrell Amando Pena.
A service will be held at Del Angel Trevino in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, with a burial at Fort Sam Houston.
A visitation for Elsie will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 1:30 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
