Eileen Brenner was born on November 3,1938 in Lycippus, Pennsylvania, and she passed away on October 7, 2016 at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Frowen; brothers, Lynn, Jimmy, and Ken Frowen; and her son, Bill Brenner.
Eileen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles “Bud” Brenner; her son, Steve Brenner and wife, Lizette; son, Lee Brenner and wife, Tracy, and daughter, Sherri Herb and husband, Bobby; as well as grandchildren, Cody, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Braden, Lawson, and Jake. She is also survived by brothers, Lionel and Gary Frowen; and sisters, Karen Klink and Kelley Frowen.
Eileen was a woman of faith, tradition, and family. She attended St. Thomas More and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for St. Pius and St. Anthony Catholic Schools. Eileen spent her retirement doing the things she loved best: reading, solving puzzles, woodworking, crafting, and cheering for her two favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Spurs. But nothing compared to the joy she received when spending time with her family. Eileen will be greatly missed.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
