Dorothy L. Stevenson Edmiston

Dorothy Louise Stevenson Edmiston, born January 17, 1929 in Travis County, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2012 at the age of 83. She goes to join her husband, Joe and daughter Sharon who preceded her in passing. Dorothy is survived by her son James of Katy, TX; her son Randall and daughter in law Caroline of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Dorrie McCosh, Leah Edmiston, Daniel Edmiston and fiancé, Ashley Jackson and Sean Edmiston; great-grandchildren, Ashley Treece, Caleb Treece and Noah Edmiston. Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress who turned her sewing skills to creating heirloom quilts for family and friends. She took great joy in the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, bowling, dice and card games and gambling trips. Her sharp mind let her win more than lose and she usually left a casino with more money than she arrived with. She leaves us all with more for having known and loved her. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 12:00pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
