Doris Carolyn Stovall Donaldson

Doris Carolyn (Stovall) Donaldson, age 87, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 10, 1925 in Flat, Texas to Grady & Beulah Stovall. Doris was raised near Flat, Texas and participated in basketball, track and field-events. She graduated from Flat High School, Flat, Texas in 1942. Doris married M.C. (Don) Donaldson in March of 1945. She received an Associate’s Degree in Business and she was an active member in the Women’s Club, Golfing, she was a world traveler and for many years she was a Bluebird volunteer for the Methodist Hospital. Doris lived in San Antonio for most of her adult life and was a longtime member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Marshall C. (Don) Donaldson; parents, Grady & Beulah Stovall; sister, Billie Bob Whatley; and brother, Jackie Stovall. Survivors include her niece, Nelda Whatley; brother-in-law, Jerry Donaldson; and numerous nieces, nephews and family. Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Services will conclude in the chapel.
