Donald C. Perkins

Don Perkins, age 85, passed away on March 25, 2022 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Nyack, NY December 18, 1936. Don got his B.S. degree from Springfield College in 1958 and a Masters of Education in 1961. He defended the country from 1958 to 1960 at Fort Sam Houston.

He was head coach of basketball at Cole High School from 1963-1975 and at Judson High School from 1975-1982. He then coached the Judson Golf Team from 1984 -1992.

After retiring, he and his wife Luanne, who were married for 58 years, traveled quite a bit. He has been an active member of Cross Roads Church and has been a volunteer at Agape Ministry since 2009.

He loved God, his family, friends, golf, and Las Vegas in that order.

He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn, in 1996. His is survived by his wife, Luanne, son Darren and his wife, DeAnn and four grandchildren, Tyler, Victoria, Zachary, and Daniel.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1st from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 3:30 pm at Cross Roads Church; 8102 Midcrown Dr.; San Antonio, TX 78239. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Agape Ministry at 127 Lanark Dr., San Antonio, TX 78218
