Donald Earl Becker

Donald passed Away at North Central Baptist Hospital, San Antonio, Texas, Wed May 24th, 2017.

Services are Sat, May 27, 4:00 pm at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N. Loop 1604 E. San Antonio, Texas.

Donald was born Nov 3, 1932, to Christopher F. Becker and Frieda K. Hampe-Becker of Des Plaines, Ill.

Donald served in the US Navy as an enlisted man from June 1950 till his honorable discharge in Aug 1953, with the rank of BT2. He served on the aircraft carrier Coral Sea.

Donald attended Valparaiso University in Indiana, and graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1957. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

Donald met Nancy Ann Erhardt while at Valparaiso University, and they married June 29, 1957.

As an Electrical Engineer, Don worked for many companies such as Sprague Electric, Honeywell, Johnson and Johnson, and completing his career with retirement from American Airlines in Tulsa, OK, in 1994.

He enjoyed playing cards and board games with his family. He was active in Bridge clubs in Bulverde, TX. He loved traveling and visited over 40 states. He enjoyed traveling in his RV and once took his RV to Alaska. He loved life, laughter, and family.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Bulverde, TX; his daughter, Kristina Becker of San Antonio, Texas; son Donald Becker Jr, of Sahuarita, AZ; daughter Cynthia Becker of Friendswood, TX; and granddaughter Zoey Becker of San Antonio, Texas.

He was loved and will be greatly missed!!
