Don E. Brown

Don E. Brown passed away peacefully at home October 5, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born to Eulas and Earlene Brown on May 10, 1934 in a rural farming community near Post, Texas. Don is a graduate of Post High School and of Texas Tech University. He served as an Infantry Officer in the US army for over 21 years at Ft. Riley, Kansas, Germany, two tours in Vietnam, ROTC duty at Texas Tech University, Ft. Bliss, Texas, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Don later became a real estate broker and owner of Century 21 United Action Realty.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Brown; children, Deborah Staysniak of San Antonio, Jeff Brown of Grapevine, Beth Ramirez of San Antonio, Kim King of San Antonio and Holly Vigil of San Antonio; grandchildren, Stephanie Ramirez, Alexis Ramirez, Allison Brown, Matthew Brown, Brandon Plummer, Kyle King, Joshua King and Conner Vigil; sister, LaQuita Parchman of Allen, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 from 5PM to 9PM at Sunset Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 12PM at Sunset Funeral Chapel.
