On November 30,1942 a beautiful soul was born to Joseph and Delia Rivas in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Saint Ann’s Catholic School followed by Providence High School. After graduating, she began her career with Frost Bank for several years until she met the love of her life and became a military spouse. She then began a journey traveling with her husband in which sparked her love for traveling and lived in Germany where she was blessed with her first child. Upon their return to the states she was yet blessed again with her only son and another beautiful baby girl. As the years progressed and military life ended, she found joy in things such as crafting, locksmithing, fishing, camping, traveling, and the Red Hat Society. She lived a life of love and you could see it most when she was with her 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, they were the light of her life and made her the happiest Mum ever.
She was preceded in death by Joseph and Delia Rivas (father and mother), Rainey L. Martin Sr. (husband), and Carmen Grimes (sister). She is survived by her brother Joseph W Rivas and children Rene Beltran (daughter) and husband, Michael with children Nicholas Martin, Nolan and Nate Beltran, Rainey L Martin Jr. (son) and wife, Veronica with children Monique and Rainey L Martin III, and Renise Garza (daughter) with husband, Jacob Jr. with children Nicole Hanlon and Angel III (fiancé), Jacob III, Joseph, Jenise, and Leah Garza. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Angel Cruz IV, Thomas Martin and Delainey Cruz
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 for a 12:00 P.M. funeral mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower Street, San Antonio, Texas 78201 with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
