A loving mother and homemaker, Delia was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends before her stroke 26 years ago. For the past 26 years despite her disability she lived her life to the fullest. Always smiling and laughing she was the picture of perfection and an inspiration to all who knew her. She never complained yet only brought joy to her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were fortunate to be able to care for her after the loss of her husband and will forever be grateful for the lessons and the selfless acts they learned from her. Knowing she is in a better place and how gracefully she led her life is a peaceful realization for those she left behind. So here’s to Wela, whose memories could never be forgotten and whose seat could never be replaced by another. May we honor her legacy and continue to enjoy every day in this beautiful world we live in despite her absence.
