She is preceded in death by her spouse, Kenneth Lee Spence.
Debra is survived by her mother and father, Richard and Ofelia Quezada; daughter, Isabella Spence; sisters, Denise Pullin and husband Michael, Diane Vega and husband Danny; nieces Allie, Ella, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie and nephew, Nicholas; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Debra graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1990. She married her beloved husband Ken in 1994. Debra received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Florida in 1996. She had various jobs after graduation, but being a military wife was her most important responsibility. Debra was a proud Navy wife and accompanied Ken on his many duty stations around the world, with their tour in Sicily being her favorite. They welcomed their daughter Isabella in 2005 and she brought them much joy. They greatly enjoyed the family trips the three of them took together, especially their beach vacations. Debra was a social butterfly and upon discovering Zumba, it became her passion. She was a Zumba instructor for many years and her Zumba community was like family to her. Upon her husband’s untimely death, Debra dutifully honored his memory by helping to organize a memorial ride for him each year. Debra was a loving wife, mother, and daughter who valued her friends and family and will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Road, San Antonio, Texas with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
