David Allen Hamilton Sr.

David Allen Hamilton Sr. entered into rest with our lord and savior July 17, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on December 4, 1962, to Joe Raymond Hamilton Sr. and Patricia Jean Hamilton. David was a kind man who was accepting of everyone and would always welcome you with a smile on his face and open arms. He was someone who was extremely giving and enjoyed living life in abundance. Despite any hardships he may have faced, David never let it take away from his happy go lucky spirit. He had his A&P aviation license and was a proud member of the VFW 8541 Auxiliary. David was an extremely proud son, brother, father, and grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his Father Joe Raymond Hamilton Sr. and wife Hilda Hamilton. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Jones, children, Christina and husband Dave Nelson, Jeannie and Marko Gutierrez, David Jr. and Caitlin Saks, his granddaughter Mayala Hilda, four brothers, Joe Hamilton Jr., Darrell Hamilton, Daniel Hamilton and Sean Hamilton and numerous friends.

He was a light to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for David will be held August 3, 2021 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow. He will be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 pm at shelter #3.
