Daniel Morales Jimenez

Daniel Morales Jimenez, age 75, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. Daniel was born December 31, 1945 to Demeterio and Minerva Jimenez. He was in the military for 22 years; he began in the Navy Reserves, transitioned to the Air Force Reserves, and then returned to the Navy. He enjoyed watching the Cowboys, traveling, gambling, cleaning, and food, especially Snickers. Daniel also attended various colleges including UTSA, SAC and St. Mary’s and would also receive his associates from St. Philip’s.

He is preceded in death by his parents Demeterio & Minerva Jimenez; his brother, Augustine Jimenez; and his brother in law, Manuel Garza. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose Marie Jimenez; his 4 children, Daniel Jimenez (Maridel), Linda Jimenez, Andrew Jimenez (Angela), and Rosalee Mancillas (Martin); his 13 grandchildren, Daniel Jimenez Jr., Lucas Jimenez, Alexa Jimenez, Joshua Jimenez, Catherine Jimenez, Anna Jimenez, Andrew Jimenez, Carolyn Jimenez, Martin Mancillas (Breana); Manuel Mancillas, Michael Mancillas, Melanie Mancillas, and Matthew Mancillas (Breana); and his 2 great grandchildren, Martin Mancillas III and Elijah Daniel.

A Visitation will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from a funeral mass at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78253, with burial following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
