Cris graduated from Edgewood H.S. in 1968 and continued his education at San Antonio College. During that year he met and married his beautiful wife, Irene before being drafted into the United States Army. Cris was a veteran of the Vietnam War for which he served from 1969 – 1970.
He retired from civil service after 36 years of service. He went on to enjoy life and loved spending time with his family, friends, and doing outdoor activities such as fishing, bbqing, home projects and gardening.
Cris is preceded in death by his father, Cristoval O. Cardona and mother, Flora Cardona. He is survived and will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Irene of 50 years and their children, Cynthia Alvarez, Cristoval Cardona III (Marisol), and Michelle Cardona (Hector). Cris will also be fondly remembered and missed by his five grandchildren, James, Christopher, Sophia, Juliette, and Noah, and one great grandchild, Zaydrian and his two brothers, David and Richard Cardona.
