Clara Z. Carrasco

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julio Zavala and Severa Casias.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Enrique "Henry" Carrasco; children, Jose Enrique Carrasco and Jonathan Lee Carrasco and siblings, Josie Velma, Becky Rodriguez, Angie LaQue, Ricardo Zavala, Leonardo Zavala, and Felipe Mares as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She devoted her life to Enrique Carrasco through the 40 years of marriage and raising Jose, Jonathan, and Fabian as her children. She also helped to raise Kevin Ruttledge, Brittany and Ricky Zavala throughout their childhood while their parents served in the Army. She also impacted numerous nephews and nieces throughout the years as a role model of the heart a person should have, this has been a blessing to the entire family. Her lively spirit and humbleness have impacted all those that have been in her presence. Her courageous soul that supported so many will be missed. Her devotion to God and family will continue to live on through her spirit and memory by us all.

A visitation for Clara will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto, 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery
