Cheryl D. Crochran, age 58, passed away on November 6, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on February 13, 1965 in Washington, D.C. and was raised in Indian Head, Maryland by her Grandmother, Mable Baker. Cheryl was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. She worked at Brooke Army Medical Center for over 20 years as a civilian contractor and Government Employee. She had many dear friends and associates during her life that she was truly appreciative of. Cheryl was a chartered member of the Lady of the Golden Circle, NuVentur #90, Orient of Europe, NJ, PHA for over 30 years. She was strong willed, determined and loved her family. She wanted to see everyone pursue their dreams and live life to the fullest.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy M. (Baker) Bowman. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bryan Crochran; her children, Yolaundra V. Crochran, Quisha Darcus (Henry), and Elton Crochran, II (Emily); grandchildren, Travon Tucker, Essence Garner, Alivia Darcus, Elijah Crochran and, Ellayna Crochran; her father Arthur Bowman, brothers, Timothy Bowman, Kevin Bowman, and Melvin Bowman; numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21st from 11:30 am-12:30 pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 pm with the burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 pm. The repass will be held at the funeral home shortly afterwards.
