On June 3, 2012 Charles M. Moore, our beloved husband, loving father, devoted Opa, and friend joined our Heavenly Father. Charles retired from the U.S. Air Force and worked in civil service for many years. His greatest joys were his music, yard work, and barbecuing with his family. He demonstrated strength and dignity as he fought against cancer for 14 yrs. Our most sincere thanks goes to all the doctors and healthcare providers who cared for him within that time. He is survived by his wife JoAnn, his daughter Brandy, his grandchildren Christina, Courtnie, Christopher, and Charles. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. for a 9:30 A.M. mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Air Force military honors.
